A continuous deployment approach often underpins DevOps. So that software may be continually delivered in shorter cycles without interfering with the user experience—or, more generally, company operations—development teams can add features and resolve defects.
Software is released with fewer defects when IT personnel and developers collaborate closely. Additionally, when preparing new features and rollouts, each group may take the demands of the other into account. DevOps has changed the way that IT and software development are done.
